E' davvero raro l'aumento di prezzo di uno smartphone a distanza di mesi dal commercio.
Infatti dal 25 marzo, a 9 mesi dall'uscita il costo del OnePlus One aumenterà di 50 €; il modello da 16 GB partirà da 299 € mentre il modello da 64 GB arriverà a 349 €.
Il motivo dell'aumento va ricondotto alla perdita di valore dell'euro, infatti in paesi dove non vige l'euro, i prezzi rimarranno invariati.
Questo è quanto spiegato nella mail ufficiale:
"In response to the falling value of the Euro, OnePlus has made the difficult decision to adjust pricing for the OnePlus One in the EU. This new pricing strategy affects only those nations using the Euro. We have not yet finalized our pricing policy for India but our Indian users can expect an announcement regarding our pricing strategy in the near future.

The new price will go into effect March 25, leaving users the chance to still buy the One at the current price of €269/ €299 during our next Tuesday open sales. While the price of future hardware may increase, OnePlus is committed to continue making razor thin margins on hardware. This includes the OnePlus 2 which can expected in the third quarter of this year."
